UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC acted as the official fiduciary of the XX Festival of the Military and Patriotic Television and Radio Programs “Shchit Rossii – 2017”.
The anniversary XX festival traditionally took place in Perm and united the television and radio journalists from all over Russia, from the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Armenia. This year, more than 400 television and radio programs entered the creativity competition and contested in seven nominations.
Alexander Inozemtsev, the Managing Director – General Designer of UEC-Aviadvigatel, participated in the official ceremony of awarding the winners that took place on June 11 and coincided with the Russia Day and the City Day.
Addressing the audience, A. Inozemtsev said, “The anniversary of the Shchit Rossii Festival has almost coincided with the centenary of birth of Pavel Solovyov, the General Designer of the Aviadvigatel Design Bureau. Russia has a glorious history, including the military one. This is a good basement for patriotism. But I am sure that history alone is not enough. The high intellectual, technological and production basis is also very important. It gives even more powerful foundation for educating our citizens and especially young people in the spirit of patriotism.
In this respect, our teacher Pavel Solovyov is a true patriot who contributed much to the technological and intellectual superiority of our country over the whole world. This is very important. That is why we launched a special award to commemorate the centenary of birth of General Designer Pavel Solovyov”.
A. Inozemtsev presented broadcasting studio “Vesti Perm” of State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Perm” with a ceremonial certificate and the special prize for active coverage of the efforts made by UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC in connection with the development of the PD-14 engine and celebrating the centenary of P. Solovyov’s birth.
The main idea of the Festival is to inspire the mass media to create more television and radio programs about the meaningful events of the military history of the homeland, preserving the historical memory, developing the patriotic attitude and the social activity of the journalists; supporting the patriotic education of the young generation of the Russians, instilling a feeling of pride for the Motherland in them, demonstrating the living link between generations.
The founders of the festival are the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Production Center “T7”. The Festival was held with the active support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and the Administration of the Perm Region Governor.
