August 2017, delegation of Aeroflot-Russian Airlines PJSC toured development production facility of UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC.
The meeting was attended by specialists from Moscow head office and Ural regional representative office of Aeroflot. Chief Designer of the PD Engine Family designed by UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC, Igor Maksimov, made a company presentation to the guests, told in details about implementation of the PD-14 Engine development project for MC-21 short/medium haul aircraft and after-sales support management.
During the excursion to the development production facility, members of the delegation visited a robotic complex area for production of new aviation material samples, a laboratory for strength testing, an acoustic research center, and got familiarized with additive technologies for manufacture and repair of parts. However, the most memorable was the visit to upgraded test stand and inspection of the PD-14 engine after completion of yet another scheduled test cycle.
The guests showed great interest towards the current and promising projects of Perm Design Bureau and were impressed by high technological level of the PD-14 engine development process. "I am confident that a new phase of our fruitful cooperation is just around the corner", - stated the deputy director of Aeroflot PJSC department, Fyodor Lukashin, based on results of the visit.
