In February, PNRPU hosted the graduation ceremony for the graduates of the Department for Aircraft Engines of Aerospace Faculty. 27 of 29 graduates studied under the target recruitment programme of UEC-Perm Engines Research and Production Complex of the Rostec United Engine Corporation.
The students received diplomas with the qualification of “Engineer” in the specialty “Aircraft and rocket engines Design”.
Addressing his young colleagues, Vladimir Modorsky, Dean of the Aerospace Faculty, wished them career growth, success, courage, and confidence in their abilities and knowledge. “You should remember that you received an excellent education and can proudly call yourselves engineers”. In the near future, you will have to solve global issues of import substitution in the Russian aviation industry to ensure the true independence of our country. And you are ready for this”.
Eleven target students of UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines, received diplomas with honors. According to Andrei Plotnikov, Deputy Head of the Department for Aircraft Engines, Leading Expert of UEC-Aviadvigatel for cooperation with PNRPU, such a high result of the current graduates of the Department is due to their great determination and genuine interest in the matter. “Students studied with interest and then underwent practical training at the enterprise with the same fervor. Their thesis projects are valuable as completed scientific research and as design developments. It is very important that all thesis projects without exception are related to real topics: gas turbine engines PD-14, PD-35, and gas-turbine units for industrial applications. The subjects of the projects are rather wide: from traditional calculation and design researches to the researches of composite materials. Mentors from UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines provided great assistance in preparing thesis projects”, noted A. Plotnikov.
Target students of UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines start interning in the departments of the design bureau and production facility from the second year of their studies. The enterprise actively participate in the educational and production activities of the Aircraft Engines and Power Plants Department students and help to hold various events. The main thing is that all target students are guaranteed employment at UEC-Perm Engines.
