UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) together with Perm Technical School of Industrial Technologies named after B.G. Izgagin (PTPIT) organized Student’s Day for the first-year students studying within the framework of the federal project “Professionalitet”
The event was attended by more than two hundred students who receive professions in demand at the enterprise: computer-controlled machine operator, machine and equipment setup man, inspector of machine and fitter's jobs, technologist.
The purpose of the event is to introduce students to the corporate culture of the enterprise, form a conscious motivation to master the future profession, and also tell the young people about the enterprise’s activities, personnel and youth policy. The first-year students visited production sites of the production facility and met with Sergey Kharin, UEC-Perm Engines Executive Director and Tatiana Snitko, ad interim HR Director at UEC-Perm Engine
Preceding the student’s meeting with the company’s management, Vyacheslav Aspidov, Director of PTPIT, said: “The knowledge and skills that you get at the technical school, your ability to “think with your hands” are very much in demand in a large, significant case for the country – building engines for aviation and industry. They are produced nearby, at the UEC-Perm Engines, which is waiting for you. You can join the company’s team of thousands of people and become participants in a matter of national importance”.
Sergey Kharin, UEC-Perm Engines Executive Director, told the students about the current situation of UEC-Perm Engines, its products, the enterprise’s development prospects and the grandiose tasks that the government of the country sets for Perm engine builders. He noted that today as never before the enterprise needs qualified personnel and provides good conditions for training, future work and career at the company.
“In 2030, we will launch a new enterprise in the special economic zone in Osentsy, which will be equipped with the latest technology. It will require about 15 thousands new employees. You made the right choice – you came to study at Perm Technical School of Industrial Technologies named after B.G. Izgagin. This is our “backbone” technical school, which has always prepared high-level specialists for the enterprise, capable of manufacturing the most complex engineering product – an aircraft engine. You have brilliant prospects, we are waiting for you guys,” said S. Kharin.
UEC-Perm Engines is the base enterprise of the machine building education and production cluster established within the framework of the federal project “Professionalitet” in September 2022. The enterprise jointly with Perm Technical School of Industrial Technologies named after B.G. Izgagin seeks to accelerate the quality training of mid-level professionals, so that by 2025 we will have qualified technicians, machine operators, CNC operators, machine setters, and inspectors.
At the meeting with the first-year students Tatiana Snitko, ad interim HR Director at UEC-Perm Engines, told the students in detail about the advantages of working at the enterprise and the target educational programme. “Students who have concluded an agreement on targeted training with UEC-Perm Engine get several significant preferences. First, it is an enterprise scholarship. We are interested in the best specialists and are ready to pay an additional scholarship for god and excellent studies. The “target students” are guarantees paid on-the-job training with experienced mentors," said T. Snitko.
Perm Technical School graduates at UEC-Perm Engines are waiting for interesting hard work, close-knit “enterprise family”, an active sports, cultural and intellectual life under the guidance of the Youth Board of the company. For those focused on career growth, there is a youth reserve school and the opportunity for further study at the university and advanced training at the enterprise’s training center.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, 260 people enrolled in the first year of Perm Technical School of Industrial Technologies named after B.G. Izgagin within the framework of Professionalitet. According to the career map of students developed at the technical school, the graduates of the cluster will join the team of UEC-Perm Engines in 2.5 years.
