“UEC-Perm Engines” (part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) awarded the winners of the XIV PROFI-2024 factory professional skills competition. The solemn ceremony was held on the eve of the 90th anniversary of “UEC-Perm Engines”.
Every year the contest becomes more and more popular. This year, 194 engine manufacturers competed in nine nominations. According to Ivan Bogdanov, Deputy Executive Director-Director for Production at “UEC-Perm Engines”, every member of the big team of Perm engine manufacturers has an opportunity to develop their skills and achieve professional success.
Aleksey Khomyakov became the best young computer-controlled lathe operator, Dmitry Kraev became the best young computer-controlled milling machine operator, Aleksey Lukin became the best young assembly fitter, Yana Skryabina became the best young assembly supervisor, Maksim Kurov became the best young process engineer, Daniil Muravich became the best young design engineer, Daniil Oskolkov became the best young gas turbine technician, Elizaveta Lebedeva became the best young foreman, and Svetlana Serduyk became the best mentor.
Maksim Kurov, a leading process engineer of the technical bureau of the mechanical shop, has been working at the plant for more than ten years. He came here right after studying at the Perm Aviation Technical School named after A.D. Shvetsov and has already participated in professional skills contests more than once.
“Every day I face situations that require stress resistance, social skills and ability to make informed decisions. This experience is what helped me win,” said Maksim Kurov, the best young process engineer.
Elizaveta Lebedeva, a production site foreman at the compressor blade shop, became a contestant for the first time and won immediately. She knows that a foreman should be characterized by patience, responsiveness and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
“I participated in the competition to test my abilities and go beyond the usual. I know that many things become possible if you don't lose faith in yourself and strive for constant growth,” said Elizaveta Lebedeva.
Daniil Oskolkov, gas turbine technician, has been working at the plant for five years; he got an education at the Perm National Research Polytechnic University. Four years ago, he already took part in a professional skills contest. The young specialist believes that his victory was due to his accumulated knowledge and valuable experience.
“The competition for me is a way to test my knowledge. Of course, I faced difficulties in theoretical and practical tests, and, like many others, made mistakes. But the most important thing is to understand these mistakes and make the right conclusions,” said Daniil Oskolkov.
At the awards ceremony, Sergey Kharin, Executive Director of “UEC-Perm Engines”, expressed his gratitude to all employees for their hard work and dedication.
“Today you have great opportunities for development and growth. It is important that each employee shows a high level of professional skills and responsibility; this is the key to our common success. For many years, the participants of the professional skills contest have been setting a motivating example for their colleagues and inspiring them to new victories,” emphasized Sergey Kharin.
