The IV Hockey Tournament for the Cup of Alexander A. Inozemtsev, Academician of the RAS, between the teams of Perm industrial plants culminated with a game between Aviadvigatel (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation, a member of Union of Machine Engineers of Russia) and PZ Mashinostroitel teams. The game took place on June 8th at the Sports Arena Ledovyj, Krasnokamsk.
The game ended with a score of 4:2 in favour of PZ Mashinostroitel. As a result, the top three were determined. The "PZ Mashinostroitel" team topped the standings, the second best was the "UEC-Aviadvigatel" team, and the «Motovilikhinsky Zavody» team took the third place.
UEC-Aviadvigatel, a regular tournament participant, always reaches the finals. This year, hockey players of Perm Design Bureau got a win against the teams of Reductor-PM (8:2), Permnefteorgsintez (4:0) and ODK-STAR (14:3), falling short of winning the game for first prize only.
The first Hockey Tournament for the Cup of Alexander A. Inozemtsev was held in 2022 at the initiative of the Perm City NGO “Veterans of Perm Engines”. Eight teams took part in the IV Tournament, i.e. UEC-Aviadvigatel, UEC-Perm Engines, UEC-STAR, Reductor-PM, Proton-PM, Permnefteorgsintez, PZ Mashinostroitel and Motovilikhinskiye Zavody. The competition started with token face-off between Takhir Khairulin, Senior Deputy General Director - General Designer – Head of Development Design Bureau, and Nikolay Naidenov, Head of Organizational and Social Projects of Perm NGO “Veterans of Perm Engines”.
"We are glad that Hockey Tournament between Perm manufacturers is developing. In 2022, only two teams participated in it. With each passing year their number is growing", noted Mr. Khairulin. – By now there are eight teams competing in it. So that we have such the arithmetic series."
Despite the fact that the teams are non-professional, all the meetings were breath-taking and fast-moving. The essential good fellowship was achieved among the team. According to Aviadvigatel’s team coach Alexander Kazmin, the fellows hold promise. "Hockey is a team sport, and every player is an important part of it. Therefore, I cannot single out anyone in particular. Everyone well played, everyone contributed to the victory. I’m proud of my players!" emphasized Mr. Kazmin.
With growth in popularity of hockey tournament between Perm manufacturers, the number of fans is also increasing. They are the ones the Hockey players take the ice for; they are the ones that create the atmosphere at the hockey arena. Tatiana Snitko, HR Director at UEC–Aviadvigatel, was among those who not only arranged the tournament but also supported the team of Perm Design Bureau.
The team of Mashinostroitel plant got the prize today. However, all the participants showed a good game. We hold such competitions so that our employees can discover their athletic talents. Besides, it helps to feel like a united, tightly welded team. I wish all the tournament participants good health and new victories upon the ice next year. And we will definitely support all their initiatives!" said Ms. Snitko.
