2025 UEC-Perm Engine Corporate Prize Winners Announced

UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostech United Engine Corporation, member of Russian Engineering Union) has announced 38 winners of three awards given annually to the best workers, engineers and managers.  

Assignment of honorary title of the Laureate of the Plant Award is essential corporate tradition of Perm engine makers. The most valuable personnel is honored in this way for outstanding achievements in work, professional excellence and significant contribution to the development of the company.

For achieving the best operational and economic performance, the honorary title of Laureate of the Subbotin Award named after Mikhail Subbotin, who was a legendary director of the Engine Plant for the period of 1956 to 1973, was given to eleven managers. Among them is Aleksandr Nechaev, senior foreman of Production Area of the Mechanical Shop No. 43.

Aleksandr runs mechanical and welding area, where the aircraft and industrial engine blades are built-up and repaired. A 19-year experience of work in production shows that the main quality of a good specialist is to find an approach to each worker and to avoid conflicts. Work goes much faster in a friendly team: last year this shop area met 180% production quotas, and 262% plan of approved product range.

For defect-free output, the honorary title of Laureate of the Pavlikov Award named after Aleksandr Pavlikov, Hero of Socialist Labor, highly qualified lathe operator, who worked for 47 years at Perm Engines, was given to seventeen factory workers. One of the laureates is Irina Bazanova, assembly fitter of the Aircraft Engine Assembly Shop No. 53.

Irina is already 48 years true to her profession. Today she is tasked the most complicated and critical operations: an assembly of oil, fuel and hydraulic systems and units of PS-90A and PD-14. She has an invaluable talent in modern manufacturing, that is to share her vast experience with green band of the workshop.

For implementation in the production of advanced high-tech solutions, the honorary title of Laureate of the Dicheskul Award named after Dmitry Dicheskul, Hero of Socialist Labor, Chief Engineer of the Plant for the period of 1949 to 1981, was given to ten factory workers. Presently, one of the laureates, Aleksey Turov, Head of Welding Technology Bureau of Chief Welder’s Department, is working on solving the primary mission of technical upgrade of the welding stations, given the robotic equipment installation at the plant.

Aleksey was involved in automated system installation activities to build-up labyrinth packing rings of components; under his leadership, the automated orbital welding machines were mastered to weld pipelines of the aircraft engines and gas-turbine units. Now, the master of his craft carries out research and experimental works on choice of optimum modes of welding and soldering of the batch workpieces, and on enhancement of methods for repairing the maintenance components.
