Ten managers of UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation, a member of Union of Machine Engineers of Russia) successfully defended their qualification papers under the Presidential Leadership Re-Training Program for organizations and enterprises of the Perm Region and received retraining course diplomas.
The final qualification papers of Ilia Vasilev, Nikolai Korshunov, Artem Kozlov, Evgenii Tokarev and Irina Nikiforova, heads of UEC-Aviadvigatel, concerned the clarification of performance criteria for gas turbine engines, the development of monitoring systems for engineering processes, and the optimization of design documentation handling procedures.
The chiefs of UEC-Perm Motors divisions Mikhail Denisov, Vadim Zartdinov, Denis Karas, Olga Osokina and Timur Uzbekov defended projects regarding production processes improvement at the serial production facility, explored the possibilities of new technological sites, and proposed the instruments for operational coordination of the advanced engines manufacturing process participants.
Two types of training were available, i.e. basic and project-oriented. During eight months the engine builders were trained in accordance with the second type based on their own projects, which the participants are already implementing and developing at their workplaces. Real-world problems have given everyone the necessary tools to create and implement effective management solutions and innovation. The program places a special emphasis on building up the team processes, as well as ideas promotion in between the business interests and working conditions optimization. These skills are critically important for modern managers, especially in high-tech manufacturing.
The Presidential staff training program is a platform for growth and development. Such an education provides a chance to merge into a generation of leaders who are able not only to meet the challenges of the time, but also to form the future agenda," said Tatiana Snitko, HR Director at UEC–Aviadvigatel.
