Twenty-four contract students of Perm Engines Scientific-Industrial Complex (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation, a member of Union of Machine Engineers of Russia) have received master's degrees from the Perm School of Engineering, the Higher School of Aviation Engine Manufacturing.
The diplomas were awarded by Takhir Khairulin, Senior Deputy General Director - General Designer – Head of Development Design Bureau, Vadim Khairulin, Chief Engineer of UEC-Perm Engines, heads of other Perm industrial enterprises, as well as chairmen of Perm National Research Polytechnic University (PNRPU) departments.
In the year 2025 the Perm School of Engineering, the Higher School of Aviation Engine Manufacturing graduated the second batch of students. In 2024, the first 13 contract students of the scholarship program from Perm Engines Scientific-Industrial Complex received their master's degrees. It is important that the defence of the masters’ theses is realized in the "technology as a diploma" format, that is, the case studies are carried out in the design bureau and at the production facility – where students, under the supervision of mentors, test novel technology concepts developed in scientific research laboratories. The academic week includes three days of theoretical classes and three days of practical work at the factory.
The results of theses defence confirm the high efficiency of the new format of engineer training program for a second time. In conjunction with the University, we adjust the curricula and training programs, implement new teaching aids and arrange expert support for the proposed solutions. Thus, the graduates are successfully adapted to the production facility by the time of their diplomas receipt, said Takhir Khairulin.
Perm Engines Scientific-Industrial Complex continue strong cooperation with Perm National Research Polytechnic University, ensuring the integration of education, science and practical training. The following year another 30 contract students are preparing for masters’ theses defence under the programs of the Perm School of Engineering, the Higher School of Aviation Engine Manufacturing.
