The best 265 specialists of the Perm Engines Research and Production Complex (“UEC-Aviadvigatel” and “UEC-Perm Engines” are part of Rostec United Engine Corporation, members of Russian Engineering Union (Soyuzmash of Russia)) have received awards of various levels. The awards ceremony coincided with the 86th anniversary of the “UEC-Aviadvigatel” design bureau.
Research and Production Complex “Perm Engines” is the major aviation and industrial center for the engine manufacturing in Russia. The core strength and competitive advantage of “Perm Engines” have always been the unique, close integration between its design bureau and the serial manufacturing plant for gas turbine engines. For this reason, the anniversary celebrations honored employees from both entities: “UEC-Aviadvigatel” and “UEC-Perm Engines”.
Governor of the Perm Krai Dmitry Makhonin addressed the employees of the research and production complex with a complimentary speech.
“We have full confidence that Perm Engines will not let us down and provide our aviation industry and the nation's oil and gas sector with both aircraft and industrial engines. I extend my sincere gratitude for your work and wish you further production achievements. Only forward!” stated Dmitry Makhonin.
The work of 76 specialists was honored with awards from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Rostec State Corporation, and the United Engine Corporation. Twenty-six employees were awarded the Governor's Letters of Appreciation, Letters of Appreciation and gratitude from the Head of Perm City, and the “Znai Nashikh” (“Proud of Our People”) badge of honor. Certificates of Merit from the International Association “Union of Aviation Engine Manufacturers” were presented to 12 workers of the Perm Engines Research and Production Complex.
“My congratulations to the experts of the design bureau and the production plant. We have always been, are now, and will remain one united team. I am sure that, in spite of all objective challenges, we will accomplish every task set before us. The President of the country has awarded the design bureau the Order “For Valiant Labor”. This is a high recognition of our efforts. I want to note that this order is our shared award," emphasized Alexander Inozemtsev, Managing Director and General Designer of “UEC-Aviadvigatel”.
Letters of Gratitude from the General Designer of “UEC-Aviadvigatel” and the Managing Director of “UEC-Perm Engines” were presented to 35 individuals. The names of 28 best employees were added to the “UEC-Aviadvigatel” Board of Honor.
“We will take great pleasure in viewing your portraits on the Board of Honor for the entire year ahead, and feel proud of you and of our shared work at this enterprise,” said Tatyana Snitko, Human Resources Director of “UEC-Aviadvigatel”.
As per tradition, the design bureau's anniversary features the competition for the Pavel Solovyov Award. Named after the General Designer of the Perm engine design bureau and a founding figure of Russia's gas turbine engine industry, this award has seen participation from specialists of the serial production plant for several years. The appearance of mixed teams competing for the corporate award is an especially pleasing development.
The participants were competing in four categories: “The Best Experimental Design Project”, “The Best Engineering and Technological Solution”, “The Best Pioneering Development”, and “The Best Mathematical Test Model”. Awards were given to 88 specialists, forming fifteen authoring teams.
“I congratulate our united team of Perm engine builders on their well-deserved awards. It is gratifying that the country's leadership has also recognized our work achievements. This means that we are on the right course, that our team consists of true professionals, creative and dedicated individuals ready to solve any task,” said First Deputy Managing Director-General Designer, Head of the Design Bureau “UEC-Aviadvigatel”, Takhir Khairulin.
