The company UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation, a member of Russian Engineering Union (Soyuzmash of Russia)) has been named the winner of the regional competition “Sports Elite of Prikamye 2025” in the “Corporate Sports Development” category.
Tatiana Chesnokova, Minister of Physical Education and Sports of the Perm Region, presented the award to Stella Emir-Veli, Head of the Corporate Culture and Youth Policy Department at UEC-Perm Engines, who organizes the company's sports events.
In the past year, 3,190 employees—one in every four motor builders—took part in sports activities. They secured more than 150 medals in city, regional, and federal tournaments.
At the Rostec Corporate Games in Perm, Moscow, and Ufa, company representatives took home 30 gold, 21 silver, and 23 bronze medals. The motor builders secured second place in the team classifications at the Perm Region's “Trudovye Rezervy” (Labor Reserves) team sports festival. The Spartakiad “Profavia” saw the team win gold in tug-of-war and bronze in swimming.
The traditional 69th Perm Engines Spartakiad in 2025 united 2,065 athletes, who captured over 600 medals in fifteen sports, including cross-country skiing, table tennis, swimming, and athletics.
The “Sports Elite of Prikamye” competition took place for the 29th time. A total of 140 applications were submitted across 22 categories, including those from the region's major industrial companies. Winners were first determined by fans and sports enthusiasts in an online vote, followed by a second stage evaluation by an expert commission.
