UEC-Perm Engines wins in the First Aid Post Competition

22.06.2026

UEC-Perm Engines (part of Rostec United Engine Corporation, member of Russian Engineering Union (Soyuzmash of Russia)) took both first and second place at the annual First Aid Post Competition held among enterprises of Perm’s Sverdlovsky District.

The contest consisted of four stages: an inspection of the sanitary posts’ equipment and the teams’ ability to use designated equipment, as well as providing first aid to casualties of nuclear and chemical weapons and in the event of infectious disease outbreaks. One of the key factors behind the engine builders’ victory was their teamwork, as the time to complete each stage hinged entirely on how well-coordinated the unit was.

“Establishing and preparing the company’s sanitary posts is a strategic investment in our employees’ safety. The sanitary activists practice first aid dressing that can make all the difference before emergency services arrive. I’m proud of our team: they’ve proven they can act as one, no matter the circumstances,” said Andrey Sychev, Head of the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations Department at UEC-Perm Engines.

The winning team included post commander Natalya Kizko (Lead Specialist of the Labor and Wages Department) and sanitary activists Alexandra Chernykh (Metrology Specialist), Irina Muzulyaka (Senior Storekeeper of the Mechanical Assembly Shop), and Lydia Parshakova (Lead Specialist of the Transportation Department).

Taking second place were post commander Rostislav Kostarev (Foreman of the Measuring Instruments Shop) and sanitary activists Alexander Samarin (Turner of the Measuring Instruments Shop), Svetlana Kuznetsova (Lead Specialist of the Sales Department), and Alexander Kychkin (Fitter of the Stamping Shop).

Notably, Alexander Samarin soon added another “silver” to his collection: at the 16th in-house professional skills contest PROFI-2026, he placed second in the “Best Young Turner” category.
