Five young managers of departments at UEC-Aviadvigatel (member of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec and member of Soyuzmash of Russia) have completed the course and successfully defended their final theses in the Presidential Management Training Program for the Perm Region organizations and enterprises. Sergey Nikiforov, Deputy Chairman of the Perm Krai Government, awarded diplomas to the graduates.
During the academic year, the students worked on the implementation of projects aimed at improving the production activities of the company, being guided by their mentors - the teachers of Perm Polytechnic University and heads of departments of the Perm Design Bureau.
Alexander Bykov, Deputy Head for Production Planning of the foundry and thermal workshop, defended the project for the development and implementation of the technology aimed at reusing the alloy obtained from remelting the foamed-ceramic filters.
Stepan Lomaev, Head of the Information Technology Service Department, presented a project on creating a mechanism for improving UEC-Aviadvigatel business processes in light of the digital transformation.
Ilya Bolotov who manages the team for the cowl flaps development and maintaining, proposed a project on improving the system of methods for monitoring compliance with requirements in the propulsion systems design process.
Alexey Kamenskikh, Head of the Air Intake Development and Maintenance team, presented a project to reduce the cost of the life cycle of PD family propulsion systems by replacing the coating of the inlet edge of the air intakes.
Nadezhda Fadeeva, Deputy Head of the Control Systems Department, developed and defended a project on improving the process of rebalancing the PD-14 engine fan rotor during bench tests.
“For me, the Presidential management training program is interesting because it actively promotes professional development, in particular, gaining additional knowledge in the field of economic disciplines. The expected effect of the program in my work will certainly be the expansion of my professional horizon – overcoming the “tunnel” technical thinking, as well as the introduction of SMART-based goal setting practices," said Nadezhda Fadeeva.
The Presidential Management Training Program is a platform for developing managerial competencies which focuses on the ability to build teamwork and optimize working conditions. These skills are critically important for the modern model of doing work at the interface of business and industry interests. The program has been implemented in the Perm Region since 2015. During this time, 104 employees of UEC-Aviadvigatel have received the graduation diplomas. This year, 19 managers of organizations and enterprises in the Perm Region have completed the professional retraining program course.
