UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation, member of Russian Engineering Union (Soyuzmash of Russia)) has been visited by a delegation from the Russian Railways. The visit took place as part of the strategic session “Team of the Future. Young Managers 2.0”.
The young railwaymen toured the aircraft and industrial engines final assembly shops. At the Long Shafts Competence Center, they got a close look at state-of-the-art equipment, multifunctional machining centers, and a robotic production complex; they also visited the corporate museum of Perm engine building.
“We are exploring the production facilities of the country's key industrial regions. Sharing experience with manufacturers is vital for us: young managers get exposure to best practices at enterprises that are shaping the direction of Russian industry. UEC-Perm Engines holds particular interest for us, since gas turbine engines could potentially be integrated into future developments for both cargo and passenger operations,” said Ivan Bogaenko, Deputy Head of Construction at Sverdlovsk Railway.
The visit was paid as part of the strategic session “Team of the Future: Young Managers 2.0”, organized by the Corporate University of Russian Railways in Perm. One of the session's topics, “Sverdlovsk Railway as a Key Link in the Industrial Development of the Urals, Perm Region, and Urban Areas”, included tours of the region's top production facilities.
UEC-Perm Engines is one of the most technologically advanced enterprises in the Kama region and was a must-see stop on the itinerary for the young managers who will help shape the future of the railway industry.
