General Director of UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation), Chairman of the Perm Regional Branch of the Russian Engineering Union Sergey Kharin and Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Perm Region and Minister for Industry and Trade of the Perm Region Alexei Chibisov signed a cooperation agreement.
The signing ceremony took place at the PermExpo venue during the 2nd Perm Development Forum “Cities of the Future”, with Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin in attendance.
The partnership will focus on driving industrial growth across Perm Region and sparking young people's interest in careers that are in demand within the machine-building sector. The two parties plan to introduce school and university students to how local enterprises operate, give them a firsthand look at production processes, and highlight the industry's importance to the region's economy.
“This agreement opens up opportunities to strengthen the human and technological capacity of Perm Region’s enterprises and deepen their production cooperation. Our goal is to facilitate a competitive, dynamic, and innovative Russian economy,” Sergey Kharin noted.
A key priority in the joint effort is raising the quality of specialist training and fostering creative, scientific, educational, technical, and cultural ties.
