The ASh-82 is an aircraft piston-type internal combustion engine, developed under the guidance of the Soviet design engineer A.D. Shvetsov. The prototype was a radial air-cooled engine.  

The modified engine became the first serial Soviet engine with fuel injection system. It was developed from the M-62. Altogether, 70 000 engines of this family group were produced.

• The ASh-82 is a double-row M-62–based design with reduced number of cylinders (from 9 to 7) and decreased piston stroke. Thus, it helped reduce motor diameter and affected drag reduction.
• In 1941-1942, the Ash-82 was produced at the Perm Motor Plant.
