On 1…4 October 2019 UEC-Aviadvigatel as part of United Engine Corporation exposition will participate in the IXth International Gas Forum in Saint Petersburg – the largest special congress and exhibition event in oil and gas industry. Perm will present one of the latest developments – 16 MW gas turbine with the DLE combustor.
UEC-Aviadvigatel specialists develop a gas turbine with a dry low emission (DLE) combustor for the most highly-demanded types of gas turbines - 16 and 25 MW – operating with natural gas.
DLE combustor features the following engineering solutions:
- principle of dry suppression of NOx emission in the combustor;
- use of multi-manifold system of fuel supply to the combustor;
- protection against vibration combustion, etc.
In 2019 UEC-Aviadvigatel team continued rig testing of prototype 16 and 25 MW gas turbines with the DLE combustor at Permskaya compressor station of Gazprom Transgaz Chaikovsky. These tests demonstrated compliance of environmental parameters with the Customer’s requirements and meeting future requirements of Gazprom to NOx and СО emission. Preparation for DLE combustor equipped GTU-16P gas turbine experimental operation has started at Chaikovskaya compressor station of Gazprom Transgaz Chaikovsky.
UEC-Aviadvigatel is one of the leading Russian designers of gas turbine equipment for gas transportation and power generation. The main strategic partner of Perm design bureau is PAO Gazprom. Currently the major Russian gas concern operates over 580 machines developed by UEC-Aviadvigatel with a total capacity of 7.6 GW. In the near future 42 more gas turbines will add to the fleet of Perm equipment.

The 8th International Congress of Oil and Gas Industry Professionals, held as a part of the Forum, will feature plenary sessions, specialized conferences, round table discussions, case contests, as well as scientific and technical meetings. The Forum invited representatives of federal and regional authorities, top managers of major international and Russian industrial corporations, global experts, heads of relevant universities and innovation centers.
The central event of the Forum will be the Plenary session "Strategic priorities of international energy partnership," participated by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee; Mario Mehren, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Wintershall Dea GmbH; Ulf Heitmueller, Chairman of the Executive Board, Verbundnetz Gas AG; Maarten Wetselaar, Integrated Gas and New Energies Director, Member of the Executive Committee, Royal Dutch Shell plc; Joe M. Kang, President of International Gas Union.
The business program will include the Gazprom PJSC Technological Development Closed Session. The session will be participated by top officials of Gazprom PJSC, heads of subsidiary companies, employees of R&D and industry-specific organizations including UEC-Aviadvigatel.
