Perm Engine Design Bureau “UEC-Aviadvigatel” (part of United Engine Corporation) was awarded the title “Honorary Member of Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry”. The certificate of the title award was handed over by Oleg Zhdanov, President of Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to Takhir Khairulin, Senior Deputy Managing Director – General Designer.
In the year of its 30th anniversary, Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry instituted a title “Honorary Member of Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry”. UEC-Aviadvigatel was awarded this title as the company that has been a member of the Chamber over 20 years, for contribution in development of regional economy and entrepreneurship and achievement of high business performance results.
UEC-Aviadvigatel – is a science-based high-tech company implementing breakthrough projects in the interests of Russian aviation industry and propulsion engineering. Perm Design Bureau is a lead designer of the PD-14 based engine family. In 2018 the engine got the Type Certificate and currently continues flight testing on МС-21-310 aircraft. Development of PD-14 enabled to eliminate the 30-year gap with the global propulsion engineering industry. The next project launched by Perm Design Bureau is development of the high-thrust engine family based on PD-35 core.
Over 25 years UEC-Aviadvigatel has been developing aero-derivative IGTs for gas transportation and gensets for electricity and heat generation for the fuel and power generation industry of Russia. 52 gas turbines with the total power of 732 MW are operating at the territory of Perm region. Many companies of the region are involved in development, manufacturing and maintenance of this equipment.
A critical condition of UEC-Aviadvigatel’s efficient operation is long-term innovative development of the company owing to the support of regional public and financial institutions implementing the industrial policy in Perm region.
