Specialists of UEC-Aviadvigatel JSC (member of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) were awarded with the national awards pursuant to the Russian Federation President Decree. The awards were presented by Dmitry Makhonin, the Governor of the Perm Region.
For great personal contribution to the development and certification of the new generation PD-14 aircraft engine, high professionalism and dedicated work, Alexander Anisimov, the lead designer of the key department for the PD-14 program, was awarded with the Russian Federation Order of Friendship.
The prizemen of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland of the 2nd class are:
Marat Gallyamov, Deputy Head of the PD Gas Turbine Engines Department for Testing;
Mikhail Rossik, Deputy Head of the Division for Aviation Tasks/ Head of the Department of Automatic Control Systems for Aircraft Engines.
The award ceremony was held as part of the meeting of the Government of the Perm Region. The awards were presented by Dmitry Makhonin, the Governor of the Perm Region. He noted that each of the awardees makes a huge contribution to the development of the region and the whole country. “The Russian authorities have duly appreciated the results of our industrialists, whose participation added to a real breakthrough in the aviation engines building: the PD-14 was created. This is a grandiose event that has not happened for several decades,” - the Governor stressed.
Alexander Anisimov devoted 47 years of his life to working in the Design Bureau. Since 2001, he has administered the issuance of the technical proposals for new engine family development, the interaction with aircraft design bureaus on preparing the requirements for the new engine and the engine nacelle, the full-scale design work on the creation of the PD-14 engine, including the development of components for a gas generator demonstrator, a demonstrator engine for presenting the technology, preparation for flight and bench tests. With the guidance of Mr. Anisimov, flying laboratory Il-76LL was selected, upgraded and prepared for arranging the certification tests of the PD-14 engines. Unique knowledge and experience allow A. Anisimov to solve numerous and non-trivial problems of improving the engine design, correcting its operation algorithms and control laws, ensuring the future efficiency of the engine in operation. Professional achievements of A. Anisimov were recognized with a Certificate of Honor of the United Industrial Corporation “OBORONPROM”, with a Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, with a Note of Thanks from the Head of Perm - the Perm City Duma chairman, with the A.D. Shvetsov Award.
Marat Gallyamov has been working at the Perm Design Bureau for 19 years. He has made a significant contribution to aviation engines creation. With the guidance of Mr. M. Gallyamov and with his personal participation, engineering and certification tests of the PD-14 engine were developed and conducted at the test stands of JSC UEC-Aviadvigatel, Baranov Central Institute of Aviation Motors, PAO UEC-Saturn, as well as at the Il-76LL flying laboratory of JSC Gromov Flight Research Institute. Thanks to the active participation of Mr. Gallyamov in preparing the evidence documentation and in cooperation with the certification centers, a type certificate for the PD-14 engine was issued in 2018. The conscientious and innovative work of M. Gallyamov was recognized with the Certificate of Honor of JSC UEC, with the Prize of the Ivchenko International Association of Aero-Engine Manufacturers, with several P.A. Solovyov and A.D. Shvetsov Awards. He has a certificate of including into the Honorary Board of JSC UEC-Aviadvigatel.
Mikhail Rossik has been working at UEC-Aviadvigatel for 30 years. For the first time in the industry sector and with the direct participation of M. Rossik, an automatic control system (ACS) of the PD-14 engine was developed and certified made with Full Authority Digital Engine Control System (FADEC) for the fuel control without hydro-mechanical redundancy. A complex set of ground and flight tests of the system and its components was successfully conducted and approved by the certification centers. Significant contribution of M. Rossik to the development of aircraft engines ACS received a high appraisal: he was repeatedly among the winners of the personalized awards of designers A.D. Shvetsov, P.A. Solovyov, F.A. Korotkov, he was awarded with a Letter of Gratitude from State Corporation Rostec, with a Certificate of Honor from the UEC, has got a certificate of including into the Honorary Board of JSC UEC-Aviadvigatel.
Commenting on the significant event, Managing Director - General Designer of the Perm Design Bureau Mr. Alexander Inozemtsev said: “UEC-Aviadvigatel is a science-based, high-tech enterprise that creates fundamentally new gas turbine equipment. The success of the design bureau activities directly depends on the level of professionalism and competence of the entire team and each specialist individually. The high government awards of the representatives of UEC-Aviadvigatel are the Russian authorities’ recognition of the achievements of the Perm engine builders.”
