MS-21-310 aircraft motorized with new Russian PD-14 engines took part in the flight program of the Dubai Airshow 2021. The opening ceremony was held on 14th of November in Dubai (UAE).
November 10, 2021, the MS-21-310 arrived to Dubai. The aircraft performed a non-stop flight from Zhukovsky, Moscow Region to Al Maktoum International Airport, Dubai. During the flight, the aircraft flew about 3700 km, a part of the route was over the sea. According to the crew's report, the flight was in normal operation mode.
Business and economy class cabin was partially installed on the airliner for the exhibition. This allows to show visitors one of the MS-21 advantages, that is an increased cabin aisle provided by the widest fuselage in its class.
The MS-21-310 demo-flight under the flight programme of Dubai Airshow 2021 included a number of elements showing the airliner's capabilities: a high speed climb up to 800 m, turns with climb and descent, a 45 degree pullup maneuver with the minimum speed of 210 km/h, a 2-g turn, a 100 m altitude flyover with the rocking wing welcoming the exhibition visitors. The flight duration was 10 minutes, the crew consisted of Irkut test pilots, Vasily Sevastyanov and Andrey Voropaev. Dubai Airshow 2021 will be opened till November 18th.
