01.09.2022

A few days before the school year starts, Perm Engine Research & Production Complex enterprises (UEC-Perm Engines and UEC-Aviadvigatel, part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation) have arranged a traditional event for the children of engine-builders, the First-Grader’s Day.

Future schoolchildren visited the shops of the company, the workplace of their parents, the Museum of Perm Engine-Building History, and the square near the monument to the legendary Perm ASH-62IR engine became a playground for a big entertainment show prepared for the children.

Photo shooting with inflatable character dolls, air balloon shaping, pavement drawing, master-games and face painting, tours to the Froly Airfield and Aviation Museum, so this celebration has been a good tradition of Perm engine builders for more than ten years. This year the little members of audience got a great deal of joyful emotions from the Lunegovs Show performance and a dancing flashmob.

An important part of the First-Grader's Day was a trip around the production facility for the children. Engineers, designers, researchers, testers and other members of the big production family of Perm engine builders were able to let children into all the ins and outs of their job.

Vitaly Vasiliev, Aero Engine Assembly Fitter at UEC-Perm Engines, took his daughter Valeria on a tour around the Shop 51 to show her where her mom and dad work. This year Valeria will go to a specialized class of the Pavel Solovyov School of Engineering.

Danil Tuev, Endoscopic Inspector at UEC-Aviadvigatel, showed his daughter Taisia the aircraft engine structure. The future first-form schoolgirl has long yearned to see where her father works, and this day made her dream to come true.

Many years ago, Alexey Kudymov, Head of the Forging and Mechanical Shop at UEC-Perm Engines, was brought to the factory by his father on the First-Grader's Day and for the first time he showed him the Shop 10, not expecting that his son would become the head of this shop over the years. This year, Alexey’s daughter, first-form schoolgirl Evelina, came on the tour around the shop for the first time.

At the Museum of Perm Engine-Building History the kids got to know the aircraft and engine design, and received badges of a young engine-builder and goody bags.

“Family celebrations are an essential part of our corporate culture and social policy. And labor dynasties are the support of our enterprises: children follow in the footsteps of their parents and come to the company, generations succeed each other at their workplace, passing on their experience and knowledge. That is why it is important that the first acquaintance with the company becomes a bright event in the life of schoolchildren and, possibly, the first step to their future profession,” points out Aleksandr Inozemtsev, Deputy General Director of UEC for Perm Engines Research & Production Complex.
