UEC-Perm Engines Awarded the Best Employees with Honorable Engine Builders Award

JSC UEC-Perm Engines (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation) has honored 30 employees with Honorary Engine Builders Awards.

The award named after Aleksandr Pavlikov, Hero of Socialist Labor, who was a highly skilled Vertical Lathe Operator, who had worked at Perm Engines for 47 years, is given to the best employees for flawless production, achievements in superior operational performance and great labor contribution to the development of the company.

Mikhail Shipitsin, fifth-degree Construction Metal Worker from the Mechanical & Welding Shop No. 15, is one of 14 winners. Having mastered his profession perfectly, for 7 years he has been fulfilling his monthly output rate by over 149% and has been working on a self-check basis for more than 15 years. Mikhail has a high technical competence and puts forward suggestions on the production development, e.g. together with the engineers he has improved a process of the PD-14 combustor liner assembly. As a result of the implemented changes, a product manufacturing cycle was reduced.

The Mikhail Subbotin Award is another yet honorable prize, named after the legendary director who headed the engine plant from 1956 to 1973, is awarded for effective management of the production department, and for significant production and economic performance.

Aleksandr Gorbunov, Head of Mechanical Assembly Shop No. 95, was among the 10 awarded. In 2010, Aleksandr started working at UEC-Perm Engines as a Lathe Operator. Then he worked as a Production Line Supervisor, Senior Foreman, Deputy Head of the Shop, and in 2017 he became the Head of the Shop No. 95. Owing to the proper production engineering and well-established guidance system, today the shop is successfully mastering the production of the PD-8 and PD-35 engine parts using state-of-the-art equipment and advanced machining center.

The Dmitry Dicheskul Award, named after Hero of Socialist Labor, Chief Engineer of the factory from 1949 to 1981, is given to the company's employees for special achievements in professional activities, implementation of high-tech solutions in manufacturing.

Igor Koval, Deputy Head of Blank Production Shop No. 85, is the author of a successfully implemented project to optimize the placement of ring blanks in a storage room. He proposed to put blanks on vertical racks using the electronic record system of parts storage. His project made it possible to reduce the time of blanks delivery to the factory shops from 30 to 5 minutes.

Thanks to their suggestions and projects, the factory continues to develop, annually increasing production volumes and creating new jobs,” says Sergey Kharin, Executive Director of UEC-Perm Engines.
