Representatives of UEC-Aviadvigatel (a part of Rostec State Corporation) the Norin brothers performed well in the sports competitions at the fourth The Legend of the Urals – 2022 festival, which was held from August 19 to 21 in Bashkortostan on the shores of Lake Yakty-kul.
On the first day of the competition, there was 2300-meter uphill running with a climb of 431 meters. Alexander Norin, Head of the Modeling and Control Program Development Department of UEC-Aviadvigatel, finished 14th in the overall standings, and Sergey Norin, Head of Modeling and Development Team for Serial Low Pressure Compressors, took 17th place. There were 109 participants in the running.
On the final day of the competition, the athletes found the strongest in the trail running at a distance of 14 kilometers (with a climb of 340 meters) and 27 kilometers (with a climb of 400 meters). The running took place over cross-country terrain around Lake Yakty-kul. 157 people participated in the running. Sergey Norin covered the distance of 14 kilometers in 1 hour 20 min 21 sec and became the silver medalist in the age category 35-49 years. In the overall standings, he took 7th place.

The three-day multi-sport festival “Legend of the Urals” from the team of organizers of the Ufa Marathon takes place in Bashkortostan at the end of summer. The festival program includes trail runs, vertical runs and swims for different distances.
The Norin brothers have been taking part in various road running from 10 to 21 kilometers in different Russian cities for three years. In the near future, Alexander and Sergey plan to participate in the Perm Marathon, which will be held in September.
