In September, JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” (part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) has shipped four sets of GTU-25P gas turbine units for the first stage construction of the booster compressor station (BCS) at Kharasaveyskoye gas condensate field of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym.
The BCS First Stage comprises six GPA-25 gas compressor packages with GTU-25P. Two more GTU-25Ps production and shipment are scheduled for 2023.
The hardware installed at Kharasaveyskoye field will be operated under extreme environmental conditions of the Far North, at permafrost, close to the Kara Sea. Natural gas is used as fired fuel. GT units are supplied with an electric starting system. GTU-25P’s warranty lifetime is 8,000 hours, the TBO is 25,000 hours, and the assigned life is 150,000 hours.
“At the moment, UEC-Perm Engines is the largest supplier of domestic GT units. Gazprom has been and continues to be our prime customer and strategic partner. It is important to note that our equipment reliability has been proved through operation under all climate conditions,” – says Aleksandr Inozemtsev, Deputy General Director of UEC for Perm Engines Research & Production Complex.
This a second shipment of the Perm equipment to Kharasaveyskoye field. Since 2009, four 2.5 MW GTES “Ural-2500” GT gensets (designed and manufactured by UEC-Aviadvigatel, a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) has been in operation. The total running time of the GT gensets has exceeded 130 thousand hours. The gensets are supplying power to the critical infrastructure, production and transportation infrastructure facilities of the field, as well as the Kharasavey village.

Kharasaveyskoye GCF is a part of the Yamal center of gas extraction of Gazprom Group. It is located a hundred kilometers north of Bovanenkovskoye OGCF and partially extends to the Kara Sea shelf. Fields Development Project includes construction of the gas Processing Facility, Booster Compressor Station, oil & gas wells clusters, power park and the other infrastructure (information from the official Gazprom website).
