Perm Engine Builders Received Departmental Awards

JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” (part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) held an award ceremony for its employees on Engineering Worker's Day. Thirty engineering workers were awarded Certificates of Merit from Rostec State Corporation, JSC “United Engine Corporation”, JSC “United Aircraft Corporation”, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Perm krai, and the Russian Engineering Union.

Among those, who were awarded with the Certificate of Merit from Rostec State Corporation, was Eduard Rafikov, a Category 5 drillman at the Mechanical Shop #33. Over 19 years of work at the factory, he has mastered to the excellence both his basic skill and allied professions, i.e., as a broaching-machine operator. He performs 130-150 percent of the manufacturing order with a perfect quality. PD-14 engine parts are passing through his hands as well. Eduard is especially proud of his effective work-improvement suggestions for a machine thread-cutting which allowed for the part manufacture step-up by a factor of seven without compromising a quality.

Aleksey Mikhalev, a Category 6 engine test & mechanical engineer, was awarded with the Certificate of Merit from UEC for the master execution of PD-14 and PS-90A test tasks. Aleksey is perfect in the instrumentation and measurement systems. As an experienced tutor, during 21 years of his work he has trained more than ten employees for a test mechanics, four of whom now work with him at the test house.  

Ministry of Industry and Trade awarded Natalia Lopatina, a Category 5 grinder at the Assembly Shop #41, with the Certificate of Merit. She has been in the same workplace for 19 years. Within her work area, she processes the most complex parts with the highest accuracy. At her initiative, more than twenty work-improvement suggestions are introduced into production each year, most of which are aimed at reducing losses and labor intensity, and improving the working conditions. The annual benefit from their implementation amounts to tens of thousands rubles.

“Each of you has made a great progress in your work. Your work is a contribution to our common goal to mass-produce reliable aircraft engines and gas turbine units. It is the highly skilled specialists working in the production today, who allow us to implement large-scale projects and set ambitious goals”, - says Sergey Kharin, UEC-Perm Engines’ Executive Director, during the award ceremony.
