65 Perm Engine Manufacturers Received Honorary Awards and Certificates of Inclusion on the Recognition Board

On the birthday of UEC-Perm Engines (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation), a gala night for engine manufacturers and veterans of the company took place at Soldatov House of Culture, dedicated to the 89th anniversary of the founding of the plant. At the event, awards named after Mikhail Subbotin, Alexander Pavlikov, and Dmitry Dicheskul were presented, and thirty best workers, whose names will be on the Recognition Board of the plant, were announced.

Speaking to the audience, Sergey Kharin, Executive Director of UEC-Perm Engines, congratulated the labor collective of the plant and emphasized that Perm engines are the pride and glory of Russia. “The biggest engine plant of the country remains a leader among all manufacturers of gas-turbine equipment for the oil and natural gas industry as well as for the power industry. The plant increases the production of PS-90A aero-engines and launches the serial production of PD-14 engine for the national medium-range MC-21-310 aircraft. The country needs our products at all times. Its quality and reliability are ensured by dedicated work of thousands of workers and engineers, the best of whom are being awarded honorary prizes today”, said S. Kharin.

The award named after Mikhail Subbotin, the legendary director of the engine plant from 1965 to 1973, is awarded for effective management of the manufacturing department. One of ten awardees is Maxim Panin, foreman of shop 14. He began his career at the company in 2007 as a monitoring and metering instrument fitter. After 12 years, he was appointed as a job foreman. Maxim Panin is a multiple participant and winner of the Factory professional skill competitions. The experienced mentor is now studying at the Perm College of Industrial and Information Technologies in the specialty “Mechanical Engineering Technology”.

The award named after Alexander Pavlikov, Hero of Socialist Labor and highly qualified vertical lathe operator, who worked at Perm Engines for 47 years, was presented to fifteen best workers for zero-defects production and great work contribution to the development of the enterprise. One of them is Evgeny Borshnyakov, vacuum coating operator of shop 38. After joining the plant 25 years ago as an electrician, Evgeny has mastered a new profession, was placed in the sixth rank, and now works on self-monitoring and produces consistently high quality products.

Ten plant workers were awarded the prize named after Dmitry Dicheskul, Hero of Socialist Labor, and Chief Engineer of the plant from 1961 to 1981. This award is given to the employees of the company for special achievements in their professional activities, implementation of high-tech solutions in production. Among the laureates is Alexey Vdovkin, leading specialist of general utilities of the office of the Chief Power Engineer. His developments on modernization of the motor control center allowed increasing the service life of equipment and resulted in considerable saving of energy resources. Alexey is one of those specialists who today successfully solve the most complex engineering challenges.

The gala night continued with a concert, which featured performances by pop stars, winners of the factory creative competition “On takeoff!” and creative teams of Prikamye region.
