Engine Manufacturers Offered Occupational Retraining Programs to Perm Citizens

04.07.2023

The enterprises of UEC-Perm Engines Research and Production Complex (UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines, part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) took part in the federal stage of the first All-Russian Job Fair "The Work in Russia. Time of Opportunities. Building the future together".

More than 12 thousand of Perm citizens took part in the event. Specialists of the HR department of UEC-Perm Engines enterprises conducted more than 1,500 interviews. Visitors filled out more than 100 application forms.

Engine manufacturers offered vacancies both to specialists and citizens who have no in-demand profession and work experience. This category of applicants has an opportunity to get a working profession in the training center of UEC-Perm Engines, having signed an apprenticeship agreement with the enterprise. There is an obligatory requirement: future turners, milling-machine operators, grinders, and toolmakers need an initial technical education. A general secondary education is sufficient for future machine tool and locksmith work inspectors.

As part of the job fair, a round table "Building Career Paths for Students and Young Specialists" was held, where one of the discussion topics was employer-sponsored personnel training. Such training programs have been in place at UEC-Perm Engines for many years now. Elena Mayasina, HR Manager, told about the advantages of participating in the targeted recruitment: employment during practical training, additional scholarship from the company, and a guaranteed job position after graduation.

Denis Popov, Design Engineer at UEC-Aviadvigatel, and Karina Khaibulina, Design Technician at UEC-Perm Engines, during interviews with young specialists of Perm Krai enterprises spoke about their experience of adaptation in labor collectives. The young engine manufacturers noted that today UEC-Perm Engines enterprises offer considerable social assistance which is very important at the beginning of employment: compensation for hot meals, partial payment for rented accommodation, help in mortgage repayments, company transportation for commuting to work from remote areas. In addition, enterprises organize sports and creative competitions, the winners of which participate in corporate and federal events.

The visitors of the fair showed the greatest interest to the short-term occupational retraining programs for working professions. These programs provide an opportunity to get a new education in three months and then to get a permanent job at production sites. During the training, according to the terms of the signed agreement, a monthly scholarship of up to 25,000 rubles is paid.
