UEC-Aviadvigatel (part of the Rostec United Engine Corporation) with grant support of Skolkovo has completed a project of implementing a unified management system for the operation, maintenance and repair of gas turbine units and gas turbine power plants. The total allocated budget amounted to 94 million rubles, of which the grant amount under the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy" exceeded 59 million rubles.
UEC-Aviadvigatel is a leading design bureau that develops gas turbine engines for aviation, as well as gas turbine units and power plants for companies of fuel and energy complex. Currently, the enterprise has more than 1,200 gas turbine engines in operation, which require regular maintenance and timely repairs.
Factory5 F5 PMM software will enable UEC-Aviadvigatel to continuously collect and store updated information on gas turbine engines operation, provide quick access to the history of equipment condition changes, gather data on detected and predicted malfunctions, as well as performed maintenance and repairs (MRO). In addition, the F5 EAM software will automate the process of after-sales service process for the gas turbine engines fleet.
“Monitoring and predicting the equipment conditions are tasks that all leading enterprises are currently addressing by process automation. This significantly reduces costs, and extends the service life of fixed assets. The support program for the first large-scale implementation of digital technologies stimulates the use of solutions from Russian developers and gives impetus to the development of the Russian IT market," said Ekaterina Stolbova, Director of the Project Office of the Skolkovo Foundation.
It is expected to improve efficiency and reduce labor intensity of power plants maintenance with payment for actual machine-hour worked. According to the Factory5 marketing analysis conducted in cooperation with Lanit, the total revenue forecast for five years from the project beginning may exceed 1.6 billion rubles from product implementation and technical support services, as well as from sales of software licenses, including F5 EAM and F5 PPM, as an integral part of the platforms of the unified information environment for managing the operation, maintenance, and repair of gas turbine units in the power industry.
“Industrial equipment of our design is in high demand among Russian gas and oil production enterprises. Maintaining existing positions in the gas turbine equipment market is an important area of our company activity. Moreover, import substitution policy contributes to increasing demand for domestic equipment,” stated Ilya Valetov, Head of Flight Testing and Operation Division at JSC “UEC-Aviadvigatel”.
The grant amount under the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy" was 59.6 million rubles, with extrabudgetary funding of 34.3 million rubles.
