In the new academic year, JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” (a part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) has signed the first employer-sponsored education contracts with students of the Perm Technical School of Industrial Technologies named after B.G. Izgagin and their parents.
The contract signing took place as part of the "Freshman Day", which was attended by 288 people. Students visited the Museum of Perm Engine Manufacturing History and participated in a game quest in the Technical School production workshops.
Aleksander Inozemtsev, Deputy General Director of JSC UEC for Perm Engines Research & Production Complex Management, addressed the first-year students: “You are beginning your professional journey at a unique time when a grandiose state program for the revival of civil aircraft industry has started. In the coming years, Perm Engines will need to significantly increase the production of aircraft engines. That is why now more than ever the plant needs talented engineers and qualified workers. We are looking forward to having you.”
Aleksander Inozemtsev spoke about the modern high-tech production of gas turbine engines, the line of legendary aviation engines, gas transportation and power generation equipment. “In the coming years, Perm Engines will have to completely renovate the main production site and build additional facilities for new projects. Large public contracts will await those who today have decided to dedicate their lives to engine manufacturing. Young employees will work on modern robotized lines and multi-axis computer-controlled machines,” said Alexander Inozemtsev.
First-year student Ilya Belozerov has chosen the profession of a machine tool and equipment setter. “My son and I jointly decided to sign an employer-sponsored education contract with the plant because it is a rock-solid guarantee of confidence in the future. In my time, no one provided such guarantees of employment, and I am glad that my son chose a profession with a great future,” said Roman Belozerov.
Kirill Shilyaev, a first-year student, will study Mechanical Engineering Technology under the employer-sponsored education contract. “My son is interested not in virtual worlds, but in real future technologies, which are already being implemented in production at Perm Engines,” shared Diana Shilyaeva.
As a reminder, under the terms of the employer-sponsored education contract, students will receive an additional monthly scholarship from the enterprise, a place for their practical training, and a permanent job after receiving their diploma. The time of education at the technical school will be included in their employment record. Graduates of the technical school can expect an interesting hard work, an active sport, cultural and intellectual life at the plant.
