On the eve of the International Day of Older Persons, the Soldatov Palace of Culture hosted a festive evening for veterans of the enterprises of the UEC-Perm Engines Research and Production Complex (JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” and JSC “UEC-Aviadvigatel”, part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) and JSC “Reductor-PM” (part of the Russian Helicopters holding).
Expressing the gratitude for contribution to the development of the enterprises and mastering the products that today form the basis of the production program, Sergey Kharin, Executive Director of JSC "UEC-Perm Engines", Takhir Khairulin, First Deputy Managing Director – General Designer, Head of the Design Bureau of JSC "UEC-Aviadvigatel", Andrey Belousov, General Director of JSC "Reductor-PM", and Rashid Dzunza, Chairman of the Perm City Public Organization "Veterans of Perm Engines" addressed the senior generation of engine manufacturers. They wished those who had retired and those veterans who are still working good health, high spirits, personal happiness, and long and active life.
The unity of the veterans of “Perm Engines” became evident during the festive concert “My Years – My Wealth!” in which artists and creative teams of Soldatov Palace of Culture and city of Perm
participated. The audience enthusiastically welcomed each performance, and many soulful, life-affirming songs were sung by the entire hall.
After the concert, the veterans were saying goodbye to their former colleagues, whom they called "our family", and thanked the organizers for a wonderful evening
Ludmila Morogova worked as a grinder in the mechanical shop and devoted 45 years of her life to the Perm Engines Plant.
“The concert went on in one breath,” said Lyudmila. “I really like that they do not forget about us, the veterans. We have an opportunity to meet, talk, and learn about each other's lives and what is happening at the enterprise.”
Today, about 11 thousand people have the status of “Perm Engines” veterans, with more than 5 thousand officially members of the Veterans Organization, one of the largest in the Perm Krai.
The Perm City Public Organization "Veterans of Perm Engines", with the support of the enterprises of the Research and Production Complex and the trade union, organizes leisure activities for retired colleagues, conducts creative workshops, excursions, involves them in patriotic and career guidance work with young people, protects their rights, helps in solving everyday, social, medical, and other pressing problems.
“Our task is to ensure that the senior generation of engine manufacturers does not feel forgotten and lonely, that they understand they remain members of the team where they worked, and that they support the continuity of labor traditions,” noted Rashid Dzunza, Chairman of the Perm City Public Organization “Veterans of Perm Engines”.
