The enterprises of Perm Engines Research and Production Complex (UEC-Aviadvigatel and UEC-Perm Engines, part of Rostec United Engine Corporation) took part in the Open Day at the Perm National Research Polytechnic University.
Specialists of the personnel services told the future applicants and their parents about targeted recruitment at the aerospace, mechanical-technological and electrical engineering faculties of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University.
Ruslan Garifzyanov, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee at the Perm National Research Polytechnic University, explained that the event is multidisciplinary, which means that in one day an applicant can get acquainted with all faculties, educational programs and partner enterprises of the university. “This year, the composition of customers of targeted training has partially changed. Among the partners, there are four new enterprises of the defense industry complex, which in 2024 will conduct admission based on the target program. In total, the university expects to accept 500 employer-sponsored students,” said Ruslan Garifzyanov.
“At the Open Day it is important to show applicants what prospects are open for them when entering the university,” emphasized Vladimir Modorsky, Dean of the Aerospace Faculty. “By attracting applicants to our faculty, we solve the issue of their future employment at the same time. More than 90 percent of our graduates go to work at industrial enterprises.”
Maksim Reutov, an eleventh-grader of Perm school, is taking the Unified State Exam in physics and computer science and has long since chosen a university and a major. He plans to enter the Perm National Research Polytechnic University under the targeted training program of JSC “UEC-Perm Engines” at the electrical engineering faculty. “Employer-sponsored students get obvious advantages – a guaranteed work place and additional monthly scholarship from the enterprise. Besides, under the terms of the agreement, the time of my education at the university will be included in my work experience at the plant,” Maksim said.
